Welcome to the 2024 National Federation of Press Women Communications Contest!

Enter the Professional Contest

Here is your opportunity to compete NATIONALLY with the work you've prepared during the 2023 calendar year. This is a two-tier competition:

Tier One: Kansas Professional Communicators sponsors a Professional Contest for both members and non-members of the organization. Members of KPC pay a lower rate per entry.

Tier Two: Entries that win first place in the Kansas contest are eligible to compete at the national level — as long as the winner is a member of both KPC and National Federation of Press Women by March 15, 2024.

As you begin submiting your entries, please carefully review the category requirements to make sure the entry is complete before submitting.

If you have any questions or issues with the process, please email Gwen Larson, Kansas contest director, gazettegl@yahoo.com.

Note: Kansas does not offer a state High School contest. High school students who want to enter, should go here and enter the At-Large competition.

For Kansas submissions, the following fee structure applies per entry:

Membership Status 1st Entry Fee Each Additional Entry
Member $30.00 $25.00
Non-Member $35.00 $30.00

* A one-time, $25 late entry fee is assessed to all professional contest entrants after the NOON January 17, 2024 deadline.
